okay, ive been holding this story in for a few days until i had time to post. seriously one of the best races ive been in.

the past few weeks ive been doing laps around the beltway here before going home. just to unwind and think. a lap is a little under a hour. anyways i was just getting to a sector of the beltway that has long constant radius turns. i was in 6th cruising at about 60 while looking for a number in my phone.
i heard some noise coming from my left and look over, i see a sti wrx throttling and back throttling next to me. he just keeps pushing it and letting off to egg me on. btw, my tt is lowered custom painted, and has oz super turismos on it so i often get tested. anyway, im like okay this could be fun so i drop it down to 3rd and start violently ripping the wheel back in forth inducing the slides to heat up the rubber. surprisingly so did the guy in the sti. so we line up doing about 70 now. tires are up to temp....i know cause its making alot less road noise. i stomp on it and pull hard away from him then he hits it and is right next to me. maybe about 1 length back. i slow it back down then we both hit it, at the same time we are entering a really serious constant raduis turn. im on the inside he was on the out. i pulled it up to 120 and accelerating. we were definately over1 lateral g on that turn. it was scary but a hella rush. i puch harder creeping away from him until the turn was over. then on the straight away he began to pull on me up to 130 after 130 i started to pull back away from him. we started to run into traffic and did a little bit of lower speed weaving, about a 100 or so, until he made a clean break on me jumped me on a lane change....good move. traffic got a little heavier ahead and we had to slow down. i get on his rear bumper maintaining about a 1-2 feet of distance until traffic cleared. he then broke off from the left lane across the right lane and onto the exit ramp. i didnt follow...[:@]. he jumped off to avoid the toll coming up. i really regret not following.
he was really good, definately not some kid, he was a good driver. i really hope to run into him again. is so pissed i didnt follow, he definately wanted me too. now that i am looking back on the entire event i think both of us executed perfect. no mistakes. that was the most fun ive had in a while. god i wish i would have followed him. that was waay to much fun.

 

Some subaru guys are really nice. I've pulled over on rest stops just to talk to the guys that group up & follow me. One even worked at best buy once & got me 300 off a 50" LCD. Next time follow! Make friends!

 

Only been up with one STi, and I wasn't driving. I let a friend take me for a joy ride since I just had ankle surgery and on crutches, and some local guys we know in a STi pull up on the hwy at about 60, so I said go for it! They had 4 passengers, to us 2. Got the jump about a length, and held it and maybe had up to almost a length and a half. Did this twice, with the same results. I think if it were 1 driver to 1 driver, the STi would have eaten the TT.

 

Yeah I have a friend who has an STi with a bigger turbo and upwards of 20k in his car and that thing is just a beast. If an STi has any considerable amount of money into it, it will rape a TT. Period.

 

ive seen modded TT 225 beat evos in videos.... I honestly think it all depends on the goals you set for your cars.
I personaly want to be able to beat and hang with sti's, and evos so i have a considerable amount of mods ahead of me
that should put that desire into reality within the next couple of weeks
