I;ll sell you my old fiberglass box for 75+ shipping. Sound great! Holds 3 10s sealed. about .9 cubic foot per sub. I had to make room for my much much larger new box

lol... I have two JL Audio 12w7 subwoofers for sale too. 5 months old

Oh and a Phoenix Gold Xenon 1200.1 Variable Impedence Amp too. haha
I have it all in the classifides forum as well. I'm downgrading to some very mild slimline 10's instead. I'm getting too old for the kind of bass these 12w7's put out.

Hahaha yea alot of people say that. Just wait until I put my other 2 3000w amps in there next week After all I do hoast the ONLY db dragracing sound comp in Michigan these days

What is crazy is 40 hz at full volume. It looks like the hatch is going to blow off the TT.
My goal in that car is 150 db then I will be happy

Then off to the 69 olds Toronado. (was my dads, He passed away last year sudden) Thats all we did was work on our 2 cars and we both loved flashy cars with nice sound systems. The TT gets its in memory of sticker soon now its almost done Next year The Toronado gets its new sound system! 6 15s ported should do the trick Im also going to touch up a few paint spots and re wetsand the car and buff it out. Its a nice ride with very little attention pay to sence last year. I plan to change that soon!

nice paintjob. I seriously doubt you'll get 6 15s in that car in a ported box though. No doubt you could get 6 15s in there, just not in a ported box. (at least not with the backseat still in it) I doubt you'll have the airspace needed for 3 15s in a ported box in that trunk. You do good work though. You using a low airspace subwoofer? It doesn't sound like it though. If you're running multiple 3,000w amplifiers... it sounds like you're probably not running anything efficiency and going for brute force.
You know a good set of MTX 9500 series or JL w7 series12s powered with 1500 clean watts will outperform most 2,000-3,000 watt subwoofers on the market by far. Power isn't everything. Powerhungry speakers usually sound very muddy and loud.

not trying to sharpshoot your operation or anything. I tend to stick with very high end stuff and have witnessed some of the "power-hungry" subs fall victim to cleaner subwoofers that were run on a quarter of the power that sounded twice as clean with higher SPL.

Ding Ding Ding We have a winner :-D The backseat is coming out. There are 3 12s ported right now in the trunk but I have a very hard time getting the sound to the cabin so the one way to fix it is putem in the back seat earl ! haha

The subs im running are 800 rms 1600 watts peak. Each one will be getting 1500 watts rms each.with a 95dbsens 1w1m which isent bad. when I ran the big stuff they were around 88db at 1w1m.

The amps im running are rated 3000watts but do a good 1500 rms actual power.

Why run that kinda equipment? I get it wholesale. Each (3000) 1500watt amp only costs me 200 bucks the subs 80 bucks.

If I wanted to spend some serious cash I could but I can only do so much with the little air space I have to work with. I only have 2.2 cubes per sub ported. So I have to use alot of power to get big sound. 150 db will be just fine for a daily driver and show car. It makes me cough at certin parts of songs as it is. The subs eat the power up just fine. If I blow them up I can always get the warranty on them no problem

When I get the money im getting some higher power hifonics subs and plan on making the box a little bigger to get me the air space I need. But thats next year if any. Its plenty loud enough as it is. Its hard to listen to it for longer than a few min.

Ive competed in db dragracing for quite sometime. My hayday was back in 1999-2001 when I had my chevy astro van with 9 shocker audio 15s with 2 Earthquake PHD2 2000wRMS amps running .7 ohms (about 2500 watts each) ON each sub. So yes 18 class D amps and 36 1250 CCA Batteries with a 290 amp vari volt ohio gen altinator. My over all top score was 166.7DB at 48 HZ.

The year after was 2 shocker audio sig 18s *only 6 made that year* with a phd2 on each coil with no wall just box amps and batteries hitting 162.1 at world finals in 2001. taking second place back to back years.

Brute force is the way I like it
