I drive a beater in the winter so it wont be a problem to bring out again even in the summer, possibly have the work done in the witner gather the parts for now. i really wish that Tcarbon had not advertised their FMIC as ready when in fact it wasnt. thats why im looking at the trubo now.

Iwonder if Arnold will be able to sell me parts of the kit without the turbo and the manifold just the extras. odly enough i searched the net for a programme on the t3/60 and not finding much [:'(]

Has any heard of putting this type of turbo on a TT? how does it compare to the K040-20 on the 225?

either get the new sw flashed over it, swap ecu's with someone with the same one, or buy and new ecu to get flashed and sell the stock one

btw, not every fitting/bolt is available at a hardware store. Im just trying to save you some trouble. I have done it before twice and its not as easy as you may think it is. If you do go this route, take your time and you may be without a car for a short time waiting on parts
+1 Except, Short Time = Long Time.
Buy a kit... Tech support and peace of mind are worth it.
I wouldn't even start if you are trying to scrape together money.
There is always something you will forget, and you'll be waiting on your next paycheck for your car to run no matter how much extra you budget.

I started my turbo miata with a DSM turbo, and an ebay manifold.

It would destroy my TT, but I was also embarrassed to open the hood.

You can use a revo or unitronic440cc file or the unitronic 630cc file. The t360 is a far better turbo than a ko4 from a 225 with about the same in spool.

yes

revo is $700 and uni is $900. Uni is a little more reliable.

i think after all this discussion im most like going to settle on a Super K04-001, i dont want to spend as much money as it is being described. my local GIAC dealer will flash my ECU for 350$ CDN and a brand new S-k04 will run me 650$ canadian shipped. and with no other mods i think that will be my best solution. I know that the K04-001 has the same turbine as a k04-20 but the exhaust housing is from a k03.

what kind of Umph can i expect from a K04-01 vs a k03?

atc engine ko3, maybe 20whp
awp engine ko3, maybe 10whp

water/meth injection and ross-tech vag cable would be cheaper and gain you more hp...just thought i throw that out there

$900 + $350 for sw upgrade + $200 for injectors if needed for sw = $1450 for 20whp and 20ftlbs. Water/meth will get you that and more with for $500 for the stage 2 kit and ross-tech vag cable.
