Default Test Drove a TT

hi all,
Sorry if I post the wrong place. I test drove a 2001 TT 180P roadster yesterday, and I have couple question about the car. First of all, I know the car has a Salavge title, and it has only 26K miles on it. The owner just sit the car in the garage. He is a business owner and have four car.
The car drive good and powerful even it is 180hp. the dash board is missing line, the seat kind of make you sit up right. I would say the seat is about 95 degree. Is it was it suppose to be? or should lay more back. the head light wasnt really fix good, I saw a gap between the hood and the head light unit.
when i drive on highway, the passenger mirrow keep shaking, then I saw the passenger headrest vibrating bad too. but the driver side is fine. I dont know if it is just a hard supension or what. also, when i was driving around 70mph, the rmp hit 3000 already. is it suppose to be? I open the hood, there is some oil stink. Anyone know where is it come from? see pic. the pic is coming from ebay's car. i just try to point out the loaction of the sting. last, the engine light is on. He was asking $9000, but he said $7000 would do it. then i call my insurance company. they will not insure Salavge title car in full cover. I guess only option to me is to buy Liability. So I just thinking to offer him $5000. should i just stay away or look for some 70K 2000-2002 TT for $10-13K? Thanks.

Sounds like a nightmare. I would avoid it, regardless of price. I bet the seller knows it's going to cost major coin to fix the problems it has.
