Default these clamps suck b@lls!

So, the little clamps that are on the stock TIP. They look like the crimp type. How do I take these off the correct way? Im just trying to pry at the end of it.

you have 2 options. either you fstraighten out the very end tab to release the clamp or you get a small flat blade screw driver and pry the crimp portion appar. doing the second allows you to reuse the clamps by recrimping them. it takes a lot of force to pry them appart. i would just cut the end tab and get new clamps

Agreed. I had to take those bitches off when I installed my DV. Just get some good reusable clamps.

I used to attack them with a screwdriver/pliers. Now I use a die grinder and destroy them.


The key is to grind off the little flat piece that bends to hold the clamp together. After you grind that off, just pry the clamp apart and replace it with a hose clamp that is not spawned from satan.

If you mess with some of the evap hoses you'll notice there are even more annoying clamps...the one on the very top left is what I'm talking about.



It's like the one on the lower right but has nothing to attach a pair of channel locks to to remove it. Probably just going to grind that one off too.

Yeah, I'm gonna use some cutting pliers.
