Default Thinking about tinting tails, advice?

Has anyone had any luck with actually painting the tails/ tinting them? Does it look like a hack job? If so, other alternatives? Thanks much. Oh yeah, my first post! hehe

Very good Paul, thank you, and I appreciate the link. I will definitely give them a call. Is there a good do it yourself kit or paint out there also?

Hmm....never heard of it...is it a paint? I would think there would be a base and a clear.

^ lamin-x is actually a 'lay-over' film you put over your tails. results can be staggeringly clean.

VHT Nite-Shades. I did mine on the car. Just taped and papered the area. Came out great.

I got so much advice, and everyone was different. I actually ended up doing my twice, and here's what worked best for me:
Good Alcohol Prep
Tape and Paper
No Sanding Before Application
Apply Spray
Polishing Compound w/Buffer
Wax
The first time, I prep sanded, wet sanded after application, cleared, etc, etc. Wasn't happy with the result.
Seemed like less was more. It now looks great.
