Wow..odd...no clear? Don't think it is going to fade or peel?

I don't think so. It's a translucent lens paint so it acts differently than your standard paint. The compound evens it out and the wax should protect it. As mentioned, I tried clearing it, and didn't like the look. So I wet sanded it off. The instructions on the can don't mention the need for clear coat. You're free to do what you feel is best. This is what happened to me, everyone had a different idea on how to do it.
