well, you need to use unisettings to do it. Its a free download and allows some timing, fuel, idle and other adjustments. Not a real tune since it makes overall changes, not incriments

i see i see. I was doing some reading on it lastnite haha. Even if they are changes over all im sure you can pull some power out of it... If i were to do a diode and up my boost i could advance my timing a couple of degrees and maybe add some fuel if needed. Plus i was reading there is some pretty neat stuff you can change/do with vagcomm.

it seems like a lot of people are opting for the LiquidTT OVER Vag-com lately. If anything, it should be in conjunction with vagcom, not in place of. There is A LOT to vagcom that most people never touch. Its definately a tool worth having.

I bought the liquidTT as a way to display readouts of various eng. Info. And it has already paid for itself as far as the diagnostic/trouble codes function goes. I have no doubt that Vag is an alltogether different animal. I just don't own a VAG. Nor do I think it would be worth my $ to buy 1. I would rather find someone with VAG local, and buy some beer/pizza in exchange for some plug-in time

I have a POS toshiba 256. Is that good enough to use? I can erase everything on it if necessary.

What do I need to look for as far as a VAG program? I guess I could install it on my lap top right? Is there a cost involved? Or should I look to go the pirate route?
