timing belt
ok im at about 52k miles and all the posts about the timing belt are a little frightening. Should i be really worried about it failing now or is it more around the 60k mark.Do yall think i shouldnt push my car and race nstuff because i work for a temp service and they just layed me off til the 28th so do yall think i should be worried this bad?
I was worried just like you and bought mine at 66k so my worry might have been more warranted.
However ask yourself if you're going to worry about it everytime you drive your car until you get in changed? If you think you are get it done.
I was told it was probably okay but I knew everytime I got in my car I thought of it as a ticking timebomb and couldn't handle that feeling so I just did it.

diehlryan is right, its a timebomb. there are people that can go 100k with a tb and then some that had it snap in as little as 40k. but worrying is pointless, just get er done at 60 k.
