Default TIP collapse in lower RPM?

I slowed down to take a turn, down shifted to 3rd and in the middle of the turn I stepped on it and I didnt take off but my rpms kept goin. Is it possible that the TIP can collapse around 3-4k rpm? WTH happend?

If you're talking about the turbo inlet hose, its more than possible; its probable with a 225 and those mods you have. I just changed mine out this week. There's video of one collapsing on the forge website.

Yeah i've seen the video, but it says that it collapse's at about 5k rpm. But today when I turned the corner I couldnt have been more than 3-4k rpm in 3rd gear. But when i stepped on it, it did what it would do if I was in 6th gear past 5k rpm ya know. I dont know if cause I stepped on it once the turbo kicked in it just made it collapse at that low of rpm or what. But looks like I need to get an upgraded one. Didnt you say it was a PITA to change out?

Yea it was. I've heard its much easier if you put it on a lift or jackstands. The install was easy except that very bottom clamp. you can get to it, but its in a real crappy spot. not much room to turn the screwdriver. I was having a similar problem though. I could feel it lose power when I would get on the gas.

Sweet, well I think i'm gonna try the install myself. I have stands so hopefully it will go pretty smooth with some help. Any tips on the install like any cutting or anything you ran into during it?

Where the hose connects at the bottom, the hose was actually stuck. Maybe it was from slight oxidation or whatnot.. Once the hose was off, there was white dust inside the hose end. Just twist it a little and pull. I would get a few extra hose clamps too. You'll need to remove one or two more hoses that aren't attached to it. The hose going to the MAP actually runs through some holes built onto the side of the TIP. The factory hose "clips" can't be reused easily. Its possioble, but I'd just get new clamps instead.
