Default Tire question, for the wife's Subie

So I had ordered Kuhmo ECSTA ASX tires for my wife's Subaru Outback XT Wagon to be all around tires good in the snow and good on dry pavement for spirited summer driving. We took the car to Discount Tire this morning. When I went to pickup the car this afternoon I see they put on Yokohama YK520 tires. Discount is telling us that the Kuhmo's never arrived despite the fact there was a tracking number and confirmation the tires were delivered to the shop. Discount is also telling us that the Yokohama YK520 is a superior tire. I have a 30 day moneyback guarantee on the Yokohama's in case we don't like them but, does anyone here have any experience with the YK520's? Perhaps they are a superior tire, I just don't have any experience with them. At this point I feel a little bit like bait and switch, especially since they put on the Yokohama's without consulting us.
Thanks!

It looks to me like the Kumho would be the better tire IMHO. If you had a tracking number and a confirmation of delivery, I'd ask to speak to the manager and let him know that you are displeased with the decision to change tires and you would like the tires that you ordered. If they can't (won't) do that, then ask for a full refund and order the tires somewhere else and take them their (now used) tires back. Get it in writing that you will recieve a full refund after you return the Yokohamas.

The Kumho is getting great reviews as an "all weather" tire, while the Yoko's are being touted more as a "summer" tire. Someone at Discount probably wanted the tires for themselves and "set them aside" where no one could find them.

My thoughts exactly, I told my wife that the Kuhmo's probably entered the store and then went on someone else's car. She left a message with the manager. More to follow I'm sure.
