Tire recommendations?
Just bought an 02 225HP Quatro Roadster with 55000. I'm made my appoitment to have the timing belt/water pump replacement. And I'll take the EngineGeek web page to my mechanic and suggest he order the Deluxe Kit. But about the tires? The rears are badly cupped; probably not rotated. And all four are within sight of the tread wear bars.
I'm looking for recommendations from the Forum about replacements. I'm thinking All Season, even through I live in FL, just for the additional traction in the rain. I won't be competeing; just looking for a high quality, good handling and quite ride.
Thanks!

Car looks nice.
Check these guys out. They have some good write ups on each tire, and they had great turn around time. I'm partial to Pirelli, but some aren't good in the rain.

I have Falkin 912s now, they're excellent in the rain, as are the 512's if there are still a couple of those floating around (912 replaced the 512). Also had BFG Gforce tires before that, they handle well in the rain as well, but have a fairly hard compound (treadwear 400). I liked them, but they were kinda loud, and I think being so hard made them resist too much flex, which lead to cupping sooner than I'd have expected.
I had been on Falkens until recently, and they seemed to be a good all around tire at a reasonable price. I now have Pirellis, which are a much more sticky tire that allow me to push the car much harder. [8D] They are a little louder, but are better for the way I drive.
I wanted to put the 452's on my fat 5's this spring, but they seemed to be sold out everywhere I looked. Kinda needed something a little more capable in snow too, but I could have got around that by digging out my steel 16's for the time being. I'm on Continential ContiExtremeContacts right now, maybe 452's next time around.
