I have so far heard good reports for the Nokian WR "all season" tires but they do not come in size 245/40 for the 18" wheels that come with the 2008 Audi TT Quattro Roadster. If I am going to get new rims for the winter tire, what is the difference in dimensions of these two tires below and which would be better for the Audi TT Roadster?

245/45R18 100 V XL

225/40R18 92 V XL

 

i dont know what this 100 V XL or 92 V XL is... but the 245's are a wider tire and not only looks better but also allows you better handling... just a lil... there about a half inch wider then the 225's

 

i have toyo proxes TPTs and i have no complaints... they handle very well in the snow and dry for an all season...

obviously though nothing can beat a set of summers and a set of winters

 

Kuhmo ASX are great all weather tires. They work very well in rain and snow, even w/ FWD

 

i'm running kumho ecsta spt.. they had really good rating in wet conditions as well as snow. however they will NEVER see snow on my car.

best bang for the buck alongside kumho's, Falken Ziex's... or Nitto NT450's

 

I thought advans were almost, if not over, $200 a tire?
