Default Transmission Fluid

While changing the oil yesterday my friend inadvertently dumped the transmission fluid while we doing an oil change. A simple mistake given that the tranny has a drain plug showing right on the bottom of the car in the cover opening. As you all know the oil drain is under the plastic cover.
Well since I didn't intend to change the tranny fluid I have a few questions.
My car is sitting in the garage now undrivable since it has no fluid in it.
What type of fluid do I use? Where to get it?
And where on earth do you fill the tranny, I couldn't see a fill plug anywhere, possibly on the back right (driver side) top corner?
I found info on the manual, but this tranny is the auto tiptronic in the 180FWD.
Thanks for the help.

i dont know what fluid goes in the automatics....check with Audi...i know on my 6speed the fill plug is right above the drain plug...remember its a fill hole so its not gonna be on the bottom. it should drain out like a waterfall if that helps. 17mm hex i believe is what mine takes. i could look in my bentley manual but at work now.

If you wouldn't mind taking a look in the bentley manual that would be cool. I am familiar with changing tranny fluid but have not on the TT yet. I didn't see a fill plug on it anywhere which was confusing. The drain plug was a 17 hex on the very bottom of the pan, but can't seem to find the fill. Everything I can find on the subject deals with the manual tranny.
Thanks for the help....

it looks like the drain hole and the filler hole are the same. you have to shoot the fluid into it. via the special audi tool....or something else that will forcefully put the fluid in there. a grease gun might work from the pics i see but i bet you'll need to buy 8qts cuz your gonna loose some while filling up.
