Default TTerrible Luck

Last night, I head over to 24 hour starbucks to get some coffee (duh) to pull an all nighter for a paper due. I'm following a line of cars heading towards the mountains and I'm the only car who gets stopped by a red light...

SURE enough! a black cat (a seriously black cat...) walks across the intersection starring at me... I was like.. EF me...

I get home and I start to drink my coffee and I realized that the person who made my drink basically gave me the cup of deluded "coffee water" that he was cleaning one of the drinks with. So I drive all the way back and tell them about the mistake and they make me a new one. I drive back home and as I'm pulling up...

ANOTHER black cat walks across my yard.. (it might have been the same one but that was roughly a 1 1/2 mile difference)... I said to my self once again.. EF me...

I stayed up all night to do my essay and I drive off to school. As I'm taking a turn my car's ESP light flashes for a second.. I go to class and get back to my car head home. I'm taking a really aggressive turn merging on to the highway (for CO people: Colfax merging onto I25 south) and then BAM! my car whips to the right quite a bit and my ESP is freaking out..

I go down the highway for two exits and stop at a discount tire. They try and fill air but we can hear and see that its holding NOTHING. I go eat lunch and do some errands while my car is in line to be checked and when I come back, I see my TT crushing its under carriage, exhaust area and mudflaps on the discount tire lift and I see tubes on the floor and a dark liquid spraying and covering the floor...

I was like WTF and tried to check it out. As I walked up to the car, they were just pulling it off the lift and the kid who gets out has a smirk (btw totally can't drive stick...) and asks me if its my car and then tells me "your car is really low..."

I look at the mess and look under the car and clips and crap are crushed away and the bottom of my engine bay is soaked in the lift's hydraulic fluids...

In the end, I took my car to my performance shop (3Zero3) with a rear passenger tire that has a blown side wall, trashed undercarriage and very messy bottom engine bay with unknown damaged. They scheduled to check it out tomorrow and their giving me a call for 4 new tires (225/40/18 Sumitomo HTR Z III) and an explanation about anything that might have been damaged under the car...

Black Cat = Bad Luck... I'm going to pressure wash that thing if it walks near my house again...

ouch, sorry man. i feel your pain.

i recall a a little story of my old celica. no black cats or anything but on the freeway going home from work, i hit someone's blown tire on my lane. i'm like WTF. i put my body kit on just a few weeks earlier + painted (kaminari kit, NOT a ricer body kit). so already heated, i wanted to mash home and check out the damages. so i hopped on the merging freeway towards my house, i hit ANOTHER blown tire, a truck tire this time.

when i get home, my front bumper was hangin on by a 10mm bolt and was scraping pebbles on my way to my driveway. FML.

That would be a nice portable lift to have for your garage, but to use it in a busy repair shop is dumb. The design is terrible.
