Turbo timing question
I wrote to atp turbo about their new high flow manifold and the GT2X and asked this question but Im not sure what the answer means. Here is the question;
Will the manifold give the GT2X more HP, if so how much?
Less timing pulled on the high rpms if you keep the same mapping when
switching from stock to the high flow manifold. Also if you remap for the
higher flowing manifold, you can run a lot more timing advance for a lot more
power.
Im not sure how to interpet the answer, can someone explain the timing in regards to turbos? Thanks.
Oh the GT2X for the 1.8T transverse engine is suppose to be out by X-mas.

I think their talking about adjusting the ecu for more power from the manifold.
Of course your gonna gain more significant HP over the stock since its a tubular design manifold. My guess would be 10-20 hp more.

So if I replace the manifold along with a new turbo (K04-01 or GT2X) I will get the hp gain from the turbo and another 10 - 20 from the manilfold when I remap the ECU? That should get me tomy goal of 240 - 250 whp even with the K04.
