many performance cars built after 03with dohc or even sohc have VTEC it's not such a big deal...
I would rather have a fast spooling turbo than a car that has tunes the timing for best efficiency... don't get me wrong it's asmart addition but it's just an addition, just like the 5th valve onour 1.8t s... and vtec kicking in... that's like saying wait intil I turn my engine on...
now when a gt28 kicks in...I bet that's a real kick inany ricers face

I would rather have a fast spooling turbo than a car that has tunes the timing for best efficiency... So what do you think keeps you going when the turbo falls flat on its face post 5k? Thats right, timing advance. But your forgetting that Honda's and some others swap to a differnt cam profile when in "vtec", this increase cam lift and duration. No if we had that with a BT, we would have a nice low end and better high end power

that's kinda where i wanted to get... BT + VTEC is awsome... just vtec fine just better high end power but nothing more than a regular 4 cyl N/A can produce...
and i thought the VTEC systems are the same for all cars, didn't know honda is bad *** at vtec.

eh, who cares if a couple of those hondas are quick.
in the end, they are still plastic and tinfoil sh*tboxes that were built for economy and nothing else.
in 10 years see how many TTs are still on the road-vs-a bunch of rusted out hondas that are literally falling apart at the seams.
i could care less if a car like that is slightly faster than mine- i ride in a stylish, well-built, beautiful piece of automotive art 100% of the time.
and they ride in a crapmobile 100% of the time.
just MHO.

I'm a honda Hater first and for most btw, but b4 i got my TT i almost bought a96 bubble with an b16 head ls vtec block b16 tranny and six puck clutch i drove it and wanted it just for the vtec it hit at 4500rpms and u just get thrown back and there was 3 people in that car crazy... But comparing a semi gutted bubble to a audi tt . A fast piece of **** or a quick sport lux car with every extra i need including Turbo come on So as you all no i got the TT and i dont regret a second on it
