Default VR6 Swap?

I have asked this before but what is needed to do a VR6 swap in a TT? Does anyone have a writeup or know where to get the parts? I know it may seem usless but I just need to know the info... Thanks.

Pretty much a 3.2 TT or R32 driveline and I'd guess the subframe off one. Doubt the 1.8T/VR6 share subframes.

Yes either the 3.2 VR or the 24V 2.8L VR with six speed tranny and AWD of course. What is all needed?

Why not throw the engine in the rear & make it rwd.

There was a big discussion on dropping in a 3.2 and i think its been done once or twice before. The only reason for it is because it was easier droping in a engine and ecu in a 225 than tranny and interior swap in a DSG. Should mainly be entire engine, mounts, and ecu. Not sure about how it mounts to the tranny. Since the R32 MKIV got the same 6sp (pretty sure), it should mate right up.

Ill see if i can find the thread

Thanks Nate, I didnt think of that but im sure the 3.2L would match up easier than the 2.8L

i still cant find the thread, but i know it exist(ed). Im guessing since i cant find it that Joe or some other mod locked it due to arguing or some gay ****.

But the 3.2 swap has been done. Then you can throw on a gt40r and push 700awhp easy.

Yea that would be the idea...

The question is if the Tranny will just bolt right up to the same tranny that I have right now?

Best bet is to see if that the R32's use the same O2M tranny (mkiv r32 forums on vortex). If so, no need to swap trannies. But if not, your going to need a complete drivetrain along with everything else..
