For those within a reasonable driving distance, opening day at the historic Watkins Glen is coming soon. I'm located in Rochester, NY and will be convoying down with some friends (A4, 65 Buick Riviera, VW GTI, TDI, BMW 5 series, Dodge Stealth). The opening is sponsered by Toyota and is a charity event, procedes benefitting the Victory Junction Gang. Not sure of the entrance cost, but two years ago it was $20 (ran my 97 Intrepid with the check engine light on), got you 3 laps on the track with 15-20 of your favorite people you didn't know. We are hoping to hit the track early in the day, with a stop at the Roosterfish brewpub in the village of Watkins Glen for lunch afterwards.
