I was going to say,...I've had an SR-22 thats something that is mandated by a judge. I had one like I said for getting in a car accident without insurrance when i was 19. Other thing i was going to call BS out because ....insurrance companies dont require an sr 22 ...if you have a loan on teh car your bank requires full coverage...but thats about it.... sr22's are for people who made a BIIIIIG mistake...and it normally more than doubles your rates.

mine was literally so expensive I could barely put gas in my car. I was getting $300 a month for full coverage milking every discount I could get. without discounts I was looking at over $600 per month for full coverage. SR-22's are a NIGHTMARE. I literally got insurrance on a mo-ped ...and drove a car that was in my fathers name so I wouldn't die from the insurrance costs. the insurrance on the ped was just so i could have a valid drivers license...reminder : if your sr 22 is submitted every month.. your license becomes invalid.

 

first of all get your facts strait and call any insurance company in nh and ask them what the sr-22 costs on top of your premium??? 20-50 dollars...in most cases..it for sure does NOT DOUBLE YOUR RATES.....ok so i have a loan on the car thats why i have full coverage thats right!!! i never said the insurance company made me have the sr-22 ...the state did.....but the sr-22 is no big deal...in vermont everyone in the state is mandated to have a sr-22...they cant affect your premium too much if everyone in the state has to have one?? correct???

and what the hell does if your sr-22 is submitted every month your license is invalid?? what are you talkign about???

 

I'm not going to get into a debate over the issue or fight with you in a forum because in my book its pointless.

Maybe in your state an SR-22 is different (Unlikely) than it is in my state or Florida where I went to college. However in South Dakota and Florida having an SR-22 tells the state that you are paying for insurrance. It also indicates to the insurrance company as well as others involved in the car industry that you are a " risky " driver. Meaning you've had a DUI,no insurrance, multiple accidents...etc. SR-22's in MY state mean you are in the riskest of drivers.


AN SR-22 FILING is a HUGE deal. Normally only the worst drivers have them. (By worst I dont mean driving skill)

I know what an SR-22 is, when I was younger and stupid I drove without insurrance and hit a fellow, it was the biggest mistake of my life, I have never driven without insurrance since. Nor do I ever plan on driving drunk..etc.... I would seriously loose a head gasket if I had to get another SR-22.

So im not calling you a liar, or someone who doesn't know what there talking about...but am saying is ...you and I are on COMPLETELY different pages.

 

i guess we are on totally different pages...but however an sr-22 is insurance ONY YOUR LICENSE..meaning you can drive any car you want with insurance through the owner and be covered under your insurance on their car...
and sr-22 is not a big deal some people get them just to drive other peoples car and be insured on them... some employment places make you get thyem...sr-22 is not a bad thing it is cheap and is helpful i know a bunch of people who have them just because they drive other peoples cars all the time...so obviously you have no idea.........why dont you call the insurance company in nh ..find out the facts then post up your little commentas that make no sense....


oh and you saying an sr-22 tells the state you are paying for insurance...haha look that one up it does nothing of the such....

 

Well, mate, in California and SR22 is mostly for DUI convictions and it is essentially proof of financial responsibility - showing that you are insured. This gives you permission to register a car under a restricted license.

A SR1 is most common and is given when you are caught driving without insurance. But again, that's in California - in New Hampshire they may just issue SR22's for the same reason.

I run a police impound yard and see peeps every day over DUI issues, lack of paperwork (registration, insurance, license), accidents, etc... It's definately been an eye opener for me when I drive

2900 every 6 months? or year? at 6 months for a child your age... $480 a month sounds about right...you can do ALOT of damnage in this car, its very quick.....and at your age...im willing to bet you dont know how to handle its power yet.

$250 isn't all that bad, When I was looking at a TT when I was 18 i was quoted $300 a month.

At 23 im now paying $53 a month for full coverage... Just give it time!

 

I have my insurance license. An SR-22 is something the state requires you to have to make sure you HAVE insurance. It raises your rates significantly. Driving on a suspended license is the reason you have to carry an SR-22. Some insurance companies wouldn't insure you for that reason alone. I'd seriously look into getting an A4 or something. I can't believe you'd pay that much for insurance.
