"Ethanol free gas station" I gotta find one of them in my area... Are these rare to come by? I thought adding ethanol increased your mpg??

The E10 gas reduces it becuase it takes 50% more ethenol to make the same burn as gas. However Ethenol does have a 110octane or so rating

actually by doing the math, with averaging 33mpg you would only lose ~1.6mpg which isnt nearly all that noticable until you start adding it up by the tankfulls.

19mpg with E10, 24-26mpg with straight gas, according to the trip computer.

The trip computer isn't accurate. You have to take into account for idle time, at what rpm you shift, temp, elevation ect.......

Haaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... I just can't stop thinking how much we're getting ripped off here in Hawai'i. It's different per island but I pay $4.57 for 92 oct from Costco (since they are the cheapest) if you get it from a regular gas station out side of costco, you'd probably pay up to $4.95 for 92 premium. I don't think I've seen anything over $5 but hell, it might as well be... yup, just confirmed it: www.hawaiigasprices.com Scratch that... I just found the shell closest to me is selling 92 premium at 5.01. So, there you have it. haha....

Enjoy your gas prices... at least we're not in Europe.

I've paid 3.85 for 93 octane the last few times because i found a little station out in the country that has its 93 mistakingly being sold for its 87 price. I'm probably the only one using that octane at that station.
