sooo i got low on gas today..went to the station to fill her up. After i was done i got back into my car, reset my trip and all the average mpg/speed...etc..THEN, i looked up at my gas guage and it was still on pretty much empty and said i had 25 miles left. I KNOW i put gas in so it wasnt that lol so i just kinda started driving cuz i didnt know what else to do. The guage and the miles left on the tank gradually rose as time went on and eventually got to a full tank after about 40 minuets of driving. what in the heck happened?? ive never seen that happen before. veryy veryyyyy strange...

 

You're not supposed to leave the car running while refueling...
The manual has a note about it saying it will do exactly what you described.

 

Lol, i didnt leave the car on, it was turned off. Filled up just like any other day.

 

Your cluster could be going out. My gas guage says its at half a tank when I'm empty.
Had that problem ever since i bought the car, I got it with a full tank.
I when out with this girl for the first time and I thought I had a half a tank left when my car ran out of gas as we left her house. I didnt notice the warning light cause I had the music up and it was a far drive, zoned out I geuss[:@]
Got some gas and she didnt feel like going out anymore[]
ha oh well.

Yeah the car seems to be running perfectly fine, so i guess ill just leave it be for now, and hope it doesnt happen again.

 

Nah no date. she was cute though, a dancer at coyote ugly in the same hotel as me. All i could really do is laugh at the whole thing and think [sm=WTFsgign.gif]

 

mine does the same ****. except i ran out of gas on a busy intersection with a cop behind me. he pushed helped pushed my car off to the sidewalk [&:]

 

that sounds like a weak fuel sender unit in the tank or its sticking
