What mods does this TT have?
ok, this is crazy but "THATS MY CAR" i just bought it two weeks ago at a local used car dealer. are you near here? adamstown PA?what a great car. i'm still trying to figure out what exactly is on it myself, its just too damn cold to go out and get into finding what everything is. the rims are the 18x8 projext zwo, i looked for them, couldn't find jack, maybe a discontinued model, its lowerd but can't see any logos on the springs, just that they are red. has an APR exhaust, not sure if it has a down pipe or not yet. feels to have a chip in it, but again not certain, short shifter, some type of BOV or diverter valve. and some kind of cheap looking intake, that i will be changing. the wing has a logo on it, but have not taken the time to read it (indentationtype) to figure out what it says. and it does have a chin spoiler, but again, not sure the make, somebody above said reiger. nothing done inside except the shifter. and i am still looking to see if the paint color is a stock color? it was listed as Denim but all the Denim ones i have seen online that look a lighter shade of blue. i'll look at everyting today since its a bit warmer, but i'd rather not have a twin unless its another color, i liked it because it was so unique.
ORIGINAL: Supra18

What parts should i replace when i get it to make it run brand new?
oh yeah, how much would it cost to get lambo doors?
thanks guys

be able to buy a 01 TT225 with 75k for about 14k or less.
My advice forget about the CAI. There really isn't one out for the TT225 anyway. Just keep the stock intake and put in some large holes
into the bottom part of the intake box or just get a decent cone filter and put it on your MAF. It will only increase intake noise and DV noise
but I guess that is what you are after. For better cooling get a Front Mounted intercooler which will help a lot more than any so called "CAI"
Also get a Boost Gauge! First Mod any TT should have. As far as a BOV goes.. forget about it. They don't work well with the TTs closed loop
system and will drive you nuts after a while. However ifyou do want to sound like your pet mouse is dying of lung deflation then get the Forge
Splitter Valve. At least it still recirculates the air and lets a small percentage vent to athmosphere. Plus once you get sick of that sound you can
always block it off and convert it to a regular DV which still will give you a whoosh sound if you have an open cone filter attached to your MAF.
One thing to change ASAP when you get this car is the Timing Belt and other items included in a 1.8T timing belt kit. (Water pump,. idler pulley, thermostat, etc.)
Unless the previous owner can show that the timing belt has been changed at around 60k. More TT's die of timing belt failure than any other cause. Well, actually
the other part fail (Waterpump, idler pulley etc.) which in turn make the timing belt fail and bamm you got a huge door stop that takes most of your 8k to fix.
Once you do have the timing belt out of the way. I would change all the other fluids as well. Haldex, Transmission, differentials, coolant, etc..
Then get a chip or tune of your choice to make the car more fun to drive and a lot more responsive. After that you can do all the show and no go mods you like
but personally I think it takes away from the great classy look of the TT design, especially that ugly looking wing. YUCKorama. But I guess beauty is in the eye of
the beholder and as long as you like it that is all that matters.
Good luck to you and happy modding
