newbie here. i have searched the forums countless times and cant find the exact info im lookin for. im comin to the audi family from previously being a big time bmw guy (last car was a well modded M3) and a past srt-4 guy also. im going to be picking up my tt (01, quattro, 225hp) in a couple of weeks (when i get out to ny, in cali right now) and i am going to have about 1500 or so to mod the car right away. im not worried about any exterior stuff for right now and i dont want to work on suspension just yet i just want to start with some go mods. what would you guys recommend? i looked around at a bunch of diff. sites and so far think that the neuspeed k04 turbo upgrade kit might be the best to start off with (around 1600 best price ive found). let me know what you guys think and what you would do with that money to get the best bang for the buck...thanks!!!

 

ya i almost bought an srt-4 over this because of the sheer thrill of the drive. but once i get in my a4, i dont regret this purchase at all. just the refinement, you could totally tell the difference once you get into the audi from the dodge. but you, you should save the 1600 to about 3 or 4 thousnad and get a really good turbo system.

 

yah i hated my srt-4 only kept it not even 2 months i couldnt stand fwd and the turning radius was horrible. it was a quick little car tho! so you wouldnt recommend the neuspeed k04 turbo upgrade? i cant save up at the moment b/c im moving to ny and dont plan on getting a job for quite some time (live with parents and gonna focus on school) so the 1500 or so is what i have for now and want to get some good power in my car to hold me over for awhile till i get back into workin

 

well unless you want to change your turbo twice, say if you want to upgrade to gt28rs, go for the neuspeed. if not, take that 1500 and spend it on chip, exhaust, suspenion and wheels. and when you get back into working, go with the turbo upgrade. thats what i would do.

 

any idea what kind of realisitic gains i would be looking at going with the neuspeed p-chip (unless another kind is better), exhaust (what good ones are out there?), and most likely a CAI with a dv/bpv, and maybe something else you can recommend with that setup (plus wheels for my car) as opposed to going with the neuspeed k04 upgrade?
