Hey guys and gals,

I am wondering how much power do the 225hp TT's make with the following mods?

CAI
down pipe
catback
chip

How much power do they make stock at the wheels and after the mods??

Just trying to see what it will takefor my TT to make 300hp or more on the stock turbo, notWHP but fly wheel hp, what can I expect to make whp??

Also what do they run at the 1/4mile???

I know they are not drag cars but I love to have some fun with my TT. This iswhat is giving my fun until I finish my twin turbo mustang.... The Mexican!!!! Ed

 

you will see these typical answers:

3" DP to full exhaust
Chip
W/M injection

and you can throw in a FMIC somewhere in there.

 

do I really need a front mount??? or can I upgrade the side mounts to somthing bigger???? What typical power gains can I expect. I am not looking for a 400whp race car as I have my 900rwhp+ twin turbo cobra, I just want to have fun and be reliable...Eddie

 

With my mods (listed below) I run low 14s.

Probably a 13.8 or 13.9once i fix this boost leak and learn how to drive a little better. I'm VERY new to drag racing. I'm not too bad, but I am a beginner. I don't do it for any reason except recreation.

Oh yea, the mod list:
[ul][*]Chip[*]MBC (to further turn the boost up a bit)[*]Full Exhaust[*]FMIC (Stock SMICs are crap. You don't need a hugeFMIC for 300HP, the tCarbon for $550 is plenty)[/ul]
Dont know if that'll get you to 300, but that's the basic bolt-on power mods without going internals or turbo upgrade(FMIC isnt really a power mod, but these things get hot)

 

A 93 flash and dp should put you close to that at the crank.
Stock 225's 1/4 mile run mid-14's pending on the driver.
Flashed with a DP you might get in the low 14's.
Quattro AWD takes a bit of torque and hp out because it has to get to the transfer case. I think it's something like 18-20% loss.

I am looking to get a tune with two programs, 93 octane for the streets and 100 for when I go to the track or to play around.

Anyone offer a down pipe with a cutout????

I am thinking of doing a down pipe with test pipewith a cutout and just keep the stock catback. Just open the cutout for when I play.

And how do people launch on boost?? Any sort of 2 step?????

Just remember with a 93 octane flash you can only use 93 octane gas.
Same with a 100 flash... otherwise *cue creepy music* VERYYYYY BADDD things will happen!
Like engine aspirations...

Add in what clipse said above and your still going to be a little short of your goal. The ko4 is only rated to about 260hp, so you are going to have to make up the power with timing to reach 300bhp or maybe 250awhp with a ko4-20/22/23 whatever model you have

 

You need to mess with tire pressures also, they make a huge difference in et's

 

i need that downpipe bad to hit my 300hp...270-280ish whp
