Default What shoud I know?

Alright, so I drive a 1991 Toyota MR2 and am going to be selling soon. I am really interested in buying an Audi TT. Somewhere between an 00-04, hardtop, 6 spd. with the 1.8 turbo. Any details I should know, problems, mechanically and electronically? I heard you have to have the chip reburnt every time you do a mod. ie. blow off valve, boost controller. How expensive are the mods? Any information would be great!

Dont know about re-chipping it everytime, but the only major thing is make sure that if the car is around or over 60K in miles the Timing belt has been replaced. There is also a recall that came out a long time ago for the fuel sending unit. I guess some people also have issue with the Driver Information display starting to dim or "lines" begin to get in the way of the display. The rest is nit picky stuff that happens with everything else.

And its a european sports car, you won't do anything for cheap, unless you do it yourself.
