like i stated im not using a BOV

and i will be installing the DV once i recieve it which will be in like 4 days and i will update on how it sounds. I heard some Forge DV on TTs and there is some noise to it but ya i like the BOV sound just not the "Loud" BOV though

He was making fun of you...

There are plenty of members running straight BOV.

I'm guessing nate is probably too busy banging his head off the keyboard to type a response.

Taken directly from the 1.8T FAQ... Try reading the stickies.

DV/BOV
After the increase in power, it is a good idea to also upgrade the stock dv. The 225's 710n is a rather durable dv and should withstand a good deal of power. Only problem is that like all diaphrams, it can wear out or tear. A piston valve doesnt work as fast but is tunable and far more durable. There are good diaphrams available such as those from apr and hyperboost.
good valves: forge007, apr R1, hyperboost, turboxs h25, greddy, hks.

Here comes the important part...

Bovs are ok to use on the car, but not all cars will accept them with stock power. To use them, you MUST have a valve that is closed at idle. These include a twin piston valve and a HKS ssqv. This prevents thecar from stalling and leaking air at idle. It will also not run rich after the car adapts (sometimes not needed to at most 2 days). The best bovs are the forge004 and ssqv. For BT applications, a tial 50mm bov.

Basically! I think its funny as hell that 2 n00bs that have 0 knowledge of the subject are feeding BS to a 3rd n00b and they are all just thinking they are the smartest people alive. These stupid threads keep the BS continuing on these forums since stupid people cant read the FAQ like a normal person and then post nonsense. Thank you Chris for pointing things out and making the forum useful and not more story telling

Before you start calling him an *** read the post and realize he is saying the other two half retards have Zero knowledge, not you.

You are obviously a Noob, and he wasn't even criticizing you for it. he was talking about the other two for trying to pass off unintelligible crap that makes no sense off as useful information.

Your only mistake is not reading the sticky... it's there for a reason, and has lots of important info in it.

BTW... cincy IS an ***!
But he is also probably the best and most accurate source of info on this board.
So watch your tone, Noob.

There is more than enough info in the FAQs listed above that will more than answer any basic ? you will have. There is no reason to start a thread and then take info from 2 memebers that have both owned the car for as long as you and have 0 knowledge about the car. One of them is just a post ***** that bought a already done up car and the other needs to be spoon fed every last detail. Im sorry if any of you dont like my posts in this thread, but this crap is old and covered almost daily (thus the reason for an FAQ!!) so its readily available to anyone that is willing to take 2mins and read the info. Im sorry again if you didnt like my post but i think Chris above more than cleared that up for you also. Yes i can be an ***, but that is only set off by people that cant do things for themselves when its already given to them with a big bow on top
