How bad did you beat your beater without it giving up?

I've got quite a few stories. If you have multiple stories, post them seperately so we don't have any 3 page posts, I know you guys have done some dumb shxt.

I had a geo metro as a winter car, decided it was a rally racer.
For weeks coming home from school I would pull the e-brake at a T in the road that was 1/3 gravel. I kept trying to do a full 360. One day I was a little off in my timing, and going a little too fast. Plowed the back end into a guard rail at about 35 mph. I took out a taillight, bumper plastic, and some sheetmetal, but still drove fine until the end of winter all I did was replace the light. We stillsold it for $200 more than we bought it for.

 

was bitching about my drivers ed. teacher not letting me go over the 'suggested speed' limits around turns, there are a few turns around the area posted at 40, when you could probably take them at 90 and not sweat a drop. I was telling my brother about how they're bullshit, and you can go faster than that, and to prove it, I went 55 around a 45 turn. Turned to my brother and said 'see?' as we exited the turn, and just as the car was driving straight again, hit black ice, 360'd down the snowbank, eventually plowing the car so deep in the snow that the engine compartment was packed to the point the car wouldn't turn over. Bus driver had just gotten off work and was pulling in his driveway 100 yards away and saw us climb out of the snowbank, so he came down with his pickup and a chain and pulled me out. I kicked the snow out of the engine bay, thanked him, started the car and drove home. Laughing at the irony. BTW, this was with the 4000, which I also used to jump train tracks with.

totalling the TT in feb, I remember these words leaving my mouth, as I slid sideways towards a minivan 'oh ****, here it comes...' WHAM!

presence of mind to say that, but not to friggen get back on the throttle to straighten out the car. Guess theres the concern that I can't get it straight, and then itsa decision of slide into that van, or, accelerate into that van.

when i used to live in seattle with my 87 celica gt, i drove downthis hill once in the snow to get to my friends house. up ahead was the intersection so i started to brake..

the road was too icy and all the cars in the intersection stopped andwatched me slowly ram into the curb up and over into a bush.

i backed out with my front bumper barely hanging on with branchesand leaves stuck in my front-endthen drove offpretending like nothing happened.

 

I drove home from class one night (45min drive) in a terrible snow storm and was so carful all the way home. So i get to make the last turn into my street (not even 300yards away) and my car slides off the road down into the corner houses ditch and then fence [:@]

I ran home and got gloves and my father and we pushed the car out and never told them that i was the one that tore up the yard or slightly damaged the fence.

 

Uh lets see, First time, in my grand cherokee I was at my friends cabin gettin hammered. Probably my junior year, ended up getting really pissed about something and decided to drive away (going who knows where) but there were cars in my way. So being drunk and in an suv I decided to try and run over the trees. Ended up taking off my front bumper and side moldings, and a couple of trees. In my next car, and 01 honda civic coupe, drunk again, decided to leave a hotel in downtown atl to go meet up with this chick, I was in a parking garageand I didnt have any cash. The guy wouldnt let me out so I backed up and let somebody else go in front of me, when the bar raised and the car went out, I stepped on that motha and flew under it before it hit me and I ended up nailing one of those yellow cement poles. DIdnt do much but I ended up getting lost in atl for about 45 minutes. Just to find that the interstate was literally a U-turn out of the parking lot the next day. The next time in my 01 jetta, Ok yes drunk again, I know I had a problem, but i was leaving this club and it was raining and I was turning right onto another road and my car just slid off the road and kept going straight into this huge bush type thing. I was able to back out of it without anybody seeing it, but the bush still has a huge hole taken out of it 9 months later. Anyways it cracked my radiator and my bumper, so a week later and $800 down the drain I flip it into a ditch and totaled it. That time I was not drunk though. I know i'm stupid for driving drunk but i've changed since then.

 

About 10 yrs ago when i was in highschool i had a lifted toyota 4x4 (best truck i've had). I was alwasy taking that thing off road and whenever i saw dirt i went in it. Well, i was driving home one day and it had just rained. I came to a 2 way road that had 20 foot wide dirt shoulders as far as the eye can see. So... being such a dirt lover, i gun it to about 45 and ride the turnouts throwing up rocks weaving left and right....having fun. well i do that for about a mile, when thethe road veers right and the shoulder ends. so i figure i will just glide on the road.I get to the end of the dirt with about 3 yards to go when i see this beautiful enormous puddle...the icing on the cake. Igo right through it. The puddle was a4 foot ditch that launched me about20 feet out and 2-3 feet up. i landed going left (road turns right) pull the e-brake and downshift, into oncoming traffic, do a 180 inot the ditch on the other side of the road and miss a brand new suburbanby about 2 feet. The lady ddint even see me coming as i jumped a median rigth in front of her going 45. i almost took out acaution signthat scraped the paint offside of mytruck. I never offroaded in town again!

 

Last 2 . once i spun out on a freeway entrance in my tt (rigth after rain as well) it was one lane with a 10 foot drop into a wall and no gurad rail. i ended up doing a 180 due to my maneuvering skills and rolling backwards. i drove backwards to the shoulder of the freeway where i ended up turning the car around. (it was midnight and no cops)

the second. a bunch of friends and i went to see my buddys girl at the bar she was working at . this is about noon. we get there, have a bunch of drinks and decide to go home. my friend was driving and thought he was sober. he had a 2001 chevy ex cab with 18 in lift and 44" tires. we are driving and he starts text messaging someone. no one is paying attention, and we look up to see a tree dead ahead about 5 feet out. the road had a slight veer in it where a tree was growing. we plowed into it with the right front corner, going about 40mph. the truck being so big did this wierd jump and rolled onto its roof. he got a DUI. this all happened in a downtown area ,on main street during the lunch rush. immagine what the people were thinknig.
