Default Where to put power steering fluid?

Hey guys, so here's a pic of the engine:

I put notes on that image so you can communicate where it is. I pointed out two areas where I think it is.

If anyone could help me out on where to put the power steering fluid that'd be awesome.

Thanks!

It's on the far left (passenger's side). Sits below that cover....easy to find once you take that cover off.

Okay so I took off the left cover by the coolant and I noticed a green cap with a "steering wheel illustration w/ water on it". Is this the right thing? I'm trying to take it off and it seems impossible. How do you get leverage on this thing?

shaft of a screwdriver. lay it across the cap in the little indent. comes off easy like that.

I was looking on the fact sheet. It doesn't mention anything about what type of oil to use for the power steering.. Also the link of approved oils isn't working anymore.

i'd stick with the Audi stuff if possible.

Has to do with interactions with the metals used in the system (my reasoning). G12 coolant doesn't play well with others, you have to be sure to use a GL5 gear oil in the transmission due to 'yellow metal' interactions, just seems safer to use the factory stuff if you can.

Theres a good chance you'll be safe with off the shelf stuff, I just like to cover my bases.

Well I bought the Royal Purple 10w30 and the Coolant is G12. I think once the car is up and running, I have to take it to a shop for them to change out the transmission fluid. What is type of power steering fluid does audi use?

Its Audi/VW branded stuff, never looked beyond that.
