who was the guy with the 180 FWD dual exhaust? I would search it out, but I'm on my smartphone right now, and its kind of a pain to do that until I get a new browser (yay Opera!).

anywho, I was thinking.... does that guy's engine code match his car? it is conceivable that they did a swap to a 180 after engine failure or something. either way, its cool to have dual!

I'm cutting out my spare tire well, getting the dual port 3.2 valence and putting a custom exhaust on my 180 FWD. can't wait

i know it sounds all good to cut out the spare tire well... but trust me... nothings worse then gettinga flat cause some dumbass cut you off and you end up hitting some pothole and realize you just split your sidewall in your tire and then cause you dont have a spare tire just because... (i dont know i have dual exhaust and i still have my spare tire, but i have the quattro, dont know much of the FWD)... and then you end up waiting around for an hour or two for a tow truck to take you to some tire shop and have to wait a few more hours cause you cant drive around and search for a tire yourself...

well you get the point... i took the spare tire out of a car of mine in the past, and its not worth it, at all... cause **** always happens, and then i had it happen in the audi, i split a front tire hitting a curb turning into a driveway... visibility down + music up = flat tire

I've been there too... on any trip where I feel I might need it, I bring it, but AAA has always worked for me.... trust me, I've been there plenty of times (never hit a curb, but who knows, it could be comin').

I drove a 2002 c230 kompressor before this car, and BELIEVE me when I say that its not worth it to use the stock jack unless you are 10 miles into that town from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, lol.

anyway, I wouldn't advise it for most, but the spare tire well is coming out (a plate being welded in its place), and the backseats are going to come out, too..

Moved your question over to this thread to stay away from his......not sure about "true" dual exhaust. Here's a pic from Milltek though:

whoa, good answer dude. thanks, lol.

I'd really like equal flow through each pipe (or somewhere close to it)... Plus, I like DIY stuff. I'm cuttin the tire well. lol.

I know what you're referring to. there was a guy in here a while back talking about how he had a 180 with stock dual exhaust. He mentioned something about audi running out of the single ones that year and putting the duals on the rest of the 180's. can't remember who it was though. sorry. But hey... I can vouch that you're not making **** up.. and that you're not crazy. lol
