Default Window issue - new Audi owner

I noticed that the window drops about 1/4 inch whenever I open the door or unlock the car. That is fine, but sometimes it just keeps going up and down every 10 seconds or so. This happens when I turn the car off and have the door open, but remain in the car. The window will go back up for 10 seconds and then go back down. So I get out of the car and close the door, but I don't lock it. I start washing the car with a pressure washer (self service car wash) and then open the door. That's when I noticed that the window was still open 1/4 inch and the entire driver side is soaked in water. Why didn't the window go up? Did I have to lock the car instead of just closing the door? Maybe I hit it with water before it had closed (I think it waits 60 seconds, no?).

This is behavior that I'm not used to, so sorry if I sound simple

Not to sure what the issue would be. Right off the top of my head it sounds like maybe a door sensor that thinks the door handle is open, so it triggers the window to drop and vent the pressure. Do you get a door open warning when the windows go down?
