Default won't start, tried the following

car wouldnt start .....cranks, but does not turn over...

fuel pump turns on when car is on,
battery is good

Vag com is not picking up any codes....

update:
1. Checked the battery, good
2. Fuel pump is working when car is on, so assuming relay is good
3. sparkplugs are wet, they get sparked, i have confirmed it on #1 and #2
4. vag com is showing no codes
5. throttle body is good

could it be the crank sensor? - but figured i'd pull a code
any other relay's ?

inspect/clean your plugs.

See if they're

A. Dirty/worn as all hell
B. Wet. Either they're dry and its not actually getting fuel, or they're wet, and its getting fuel, but apparently no spark. (See A)

possibility, i disconnected the battery though, so you would think that would reset it....is there a way to reset the security??

thanks for your reply.

crank sensor? no it wouldn't do any of the above because it would turn off the fuel pump ( security problem also doubtful because its linked to the above ) security on = no crank, it could be a timing issue but there must be fault codes ( it could be the cam sensor ) so check its connected

not the cam sensor, unpluged it and vagcom came up with an error, put it back on and no error.....
engine does get fuel....took out hose from fuel rail and it flows
