Default Yet another coilover question

Looking for a recommendation on coilovers.

And, I know, I know, there are tons of threads on coilovers, but I have not seen one that quite addresses what I am looking for.

So here goes-
My 225 TTQ is a daily driver (and used for business, driving clients around, so I need to keep the ride decent) but I also take it to the track half a dozen times a year. I am looking for a coilover system that can keep close to stock height in the winter (I live in Colorado where it snows), but can be lowered between 1/2"-1" in the summer for track days. Iwould like to be able to adjust the system without having to remove it from the vehicle so I can have the ride comfortable when not on the track and then much firmerwhen I get to the track (perhaps progressive type springs). I would like to keep cost under $1500 (not including aKMAC kit). Also, once everything is installed and after the initial alignment, would I need to do any alignment adjustments each time I raise and lower the suspension?
Again, its a big deal for me to maintain the everyday driveability of the car, but then have flexibility for the track.

I looked at the stasis kit but haven't heard any reviews after install (looking to hear about driving impressions).
I liked the Billsteins but have heard issues with the rear springs. Maybe this has been fixed?

Thanks!

Come on, surely someone must have some recommendation for coilovers based on my above stated needs

i dont think any coilover will allow you to return to stock height. i had similiar needs with my tt and went with the koni, they are set to soft all around. i like them. i like bilstein even better, but they are a little stiffer.

Thanks Ray, I'll add the Koni's to my list. I was seriously contemplating the Billstein's but heard issues with the rear springs collapsing. Any idea if this has been fixed? How close in rideare the Koni's compared to the factory shocks and springs (when the Koni's are set on soft)? Also, can you adjust the Koni's when they are on the car?

How does the ride compare with stock in terms of comfort? Also, had you heard anything about people having issues with the rear springs (perhaps this is an old, no longer valid issue)?
And, on the least agressive ride heightsetting, how much lower than stock do you go?

everything seems to be in annother demension of driving, i believe at the highest hight its 1.3 lower in the front and 1.5 in the rear, im not too sure, the rear springs seem fine, havent heard anything but ill keep you posted, but plain and simple, it feels like someone took the body of my car off, and put it on a race cars chassi, andim only set at 6 all arround at only 60% as low as it can go... i cant wait to take it to the track and really see what it can do... its utterly amazing.

on the highway it is pretty darn comfy. the shocks rebound quite well... its almost like they have a camera telling them when to stiffen up and when to be a tad softer, its amazing.

TTMan, from reading your above posts I'm sold. Looks like Billsteins are my next mod; thanks!

no sweat man, they are truly amazing, good luck bro, if your installing them yourself make sure you disconnect the halfaxle and the control arms and take the whole breaking and bottom strut out of the car and pound on the bottom of the strut on the workbench... i didnt at first and i had to replace a cv boot that i tore, good luck, other then that its very straight forward, also set them at 8 in the begining, just to get the feel, and then go as agressive as you want, good luck pm me if you have any issues.
