Default Are you hitting high 13's?

I have a 225 with a apr chip, forged fmic, samco hose turbo inlet, 42 draft design 3" dp, and an exhaust that is open right after the dp. I want to hit high 13's, is that possible? I guess its depending on the driver as well. I will be going to the track on the 19th for my first time, any suggestions? I will have my pass seat taken out, spare tire, and no exhaust. I hope it will help!!!!!!

If you are running high 13's tell me what you have, thanks!!!

i think you should easily hit that with the list of mods you have. and i dont think taking yous seat out will do much. hope you have a good clutch though. if you try to really launch it you might fry it a bit.

also i dont know if they offer a 100 octane program but with giac it made a big difference. i think they tweak timing and such for the higher octane. that alone brought about 20-30hp on my 180tt. i also ran a fmic

On a sidenote how does your car sound with the pipe cut-off after the downpipe?

Water Injection and tuning with Lemmiwinks then you will be good to go, if not hit the low 12's. I run everything listed in my sig, with no downpipe and can get about 13.5 easily so 12's shouldnt be that far away, at least I would like to think so.

The sound after the dp sounds great for about a day or so!!! It gets old after a while, but since I have a beater I dont have to listen to it every day. Lets just say it sounds like a dodge srt4 fully built, with a little V8 in it.LOL If you know what I mean. Im looking around for a nos kit today. My friend just hit 12.9 with just a chip and a 75 shot.

seats weigh about 45lbs and the seat backs in the rear weigh almost the same. Thats over a 100lbs.

so how much will 100 lbs gain you in the 1/4 mile .1-.2sec ? he should already be in the 13's unless the apr chip is really conservative i hardly think its worth the time to do it, and put it back. do it if you really want to know what your car runs when its empty. my fried did that to his civic. he gutted it all the way. i mean everything. then ran a 12.3 1/4 mile. after that he told everybody that his car runs 12.3, although it had all the interior put back in it probably about 200lbs or so

I think your results will depend entirely on how you drive and mostly on how you launch. Don't worry about pulling the seats out, the .1 second you will pick up is nothing compared to how you drive, and don't you want to know what it does the way you drive it around? That being siad, there is no need to try to set any world records on your first pass. It would be a bummer to break the car. Launch RPMs, throttle squeeze, and clutch release are all things you need figure out. I'd start out easy, see how the car handles it, then get more agressive. The easiest was to pick up time with a manual tranny is quick shifts, and I mean really quick shifts. That just takes practice. Number one rule for racing at the strip is: Leave on the last yellow light!!! If you wait for the green, you reaction time will be horrible.
