Iwas not pleased with my recent 1/4 time, on the stock clutch my launches were pretty much crap... best I did was a 14.7 with a chip, intake, catback exhaust and lightweight wheels, I was also heat soaked like a bitc#

 

Damm I ran that when I was stock, how much boost are you pushing? The launch is the most important part of the strip that is where 90 percent of your time comes in. Heak soak can be a mother also, I used to take a bottle of water to spray down my intercoolers when i was at the strip to try to get them down to temp a bit, I would push my car to the start line and the burn pit, its kinda a pain in the *** but it keeps temps down.

 

I think i can beat that with just the diode and filtered maf in my 180fwd. lol

 

Speaking as an old fogey here, and you probably already know this audi225, but drag racing with a manual transmission is THE most abusive thing you can do to a car's powertrain (automatics are less problematic). Launching from dead stop is brutal. If you do it much don't be surprised if stuff breaks or wears out a lot sooner than you expect.
