I haven't ran out of gas *knocks on wood* before.

I'm sure I've come pretty darn close... but knowing that you put 17gal into it will help me out when filling mine. I always reset my trip gauge when I put gas in.

Thats right, 17.
Not sure about a 225... But:

FWD ~14.5 US gallons (55 liters)

AWD Coupe ~16.4 US gallons (62 liters) With a reserve that holds ~1.9 US gallons. Total of ~18.3 US gallons (7.0 Liters)

***These numbers are from my 2000 TT Coupe Owner's Manual***

I don't drive my car, my car drives me... to push it to the limits!

Funny - it was my wife that made me buy the car. We had it up for auction and no one came so we were going to sell it on eBay. I took it home to take pics of it to post and once she saw it she fell in love with it. Her only comment is - "You carsure is purdy." lol

She can't drive a stick and doesn't really want to learn - I've tried and she keeps refusing. But she sure looks purdy sitting in the passenger seat on our weekend trips

How do you figure? I enjoy my car, as well as driving just as much as any other enthusiast!!
Pushing the limits is all part of the fun. Of course this is to be done in a designated area, where no one else can get hurt!
