Default $1000 spring job?!

I had broken springs in the rear, and every shop i took it to said they woudlnt touch it or didnt have the parts, so i took it to the dealer as the last place possible. It was 1000 in parts and labor together. 300 for the springs and 700 in labor. For just the stock coil springs! How ripped off did i get? Actually i dont want to know. I got way in over my head wheni purchased this as a senior in HS. On top of the springs, i need to either clean or replace my EGR valve, and its leaking steering, trans and oil. And the outer boots are cracked. So i guess im going to try and sell this., The Car looks amazing, and the interior is in great shape, i will end up replacing or fixing the EGR i think just to sell bc of the Check engine light. Anyone intrested!?

the EGR and outer boots are an easy fix, the concern i would have is if your rack and pinion is leaking ps fluid(and oil leak, obviosly..), that usually means the seal is busted and you have to replace the whole thing which is another expensive item to take care of, its a common problem with the B5.
