Default Get $1000 plus! What should I get?

So my parents are finally giving me some money to help work on my car. What do you think I should get?
Thanks!

Fix as many problems as you can (if any) or else just work on its apperance and post a pic of its current condition

Stocks... NYSE is going up... turn that thousand into a few more thousand...haha

Ok, I know you're not going to so that, and you seem to have an impressive list of mods in your sig, how about some solid maintenance? How old it the TB? Maybe a complete fluids flush? If you don't invest in the stock market, how about investing in stuff that will make your car run stronger, longer... just a thought...

With a grand in the pocket, I need new rear brake calipers, TB, and front control arms. Mods just have to wait

I have a about 3k in the market now, so I'm still trading that around. I might do rear brake upgrade and sway bars

Upgrading your rear brakes is acwaste unless you track the car. A good set of pads is about all you need to do back there. As bradtyler said, maintenance - coolant and tranny flushes maybe, or CAs and TB if needed? If all is good and you can play with the money, maybe HIDs, stereo work, S4 seats, tint, S4 chrome mirrors, swaybars like you said, one-piece headlights, or some custom trimwork inside.

winter wheels?

rear sway bar and bracket, short shifter, or maybe some maintenance work like the others suggested, tranny and diff fluid etc.

... or start a BT slush fund

I got the JHM solid short throw shifter. Its a hefty $230 ($270 if you have push down reverse) but I got it as a present so it was worth it It feels really good but I couldnt justify spending my own dough on it.

I dont know a lot about sway bars, but I read that you should upgrade the brackets or you will break the subframe.

Better yet just tell your parents to adopt me. I could use an extra $1000 just thrown at me every once in a while lol.

Several guys said the eBay short shifter is actually really nice - talk to A4Cragman sbout that. As for sways, if you get adjustables, don't go stiffer than the middle setting or you can crack the subframe like it was stated above. You need subframe braces to go beyond midway. And get HIDs.
