$3000 to upgrade '97 A4 2.8
[size=1]Hi, I have around $3000 saved up and I was wondering what you guys would recommend that would be worthwhile to add-on to my 97 A4 2.8 w/ Quattro. Right now the car is plain stock.
Thanks...
Anyone have any idea on Rennen Tuning? if thats a trustworthy company i was looking at their site earlier.

Hi, thanks for the recommendation but I was looking for some more subtle upgrades. I'm not going to race my A4 so all the extra power seems kind of unnecessary and also puts a lot of strain on the gas money which is not limtiless.
subtle? There's not much you can do to the 2.8 engine other than supercharge it. Even thats more subtle that boring out the throttle body and extruning.
If you're into looks, then go for a body kit. But all show and no go is a waste of money in my opinion. You don't have to race your car in order to enjoy extra power. The PES unit is a kick *** mod.
Of course there is the handling... ie. suspension - thats always the first suggestion for most. It changes the dynamic of your car significantly.
Then there's brake upgrades - but no use to have that if you don't upgrade power.
Best bet - suspension and wheels.

Thanks, I really don't have much use for the engine so I was going more for looks and handling. Do you have any idea on any high quality exhausts that'll give a deeper sound but not sound like a cheap civic ricer? THanks
O ya, does anyone know of any companies around the New England area for these kidns of mods?

If you're near Walpole Massachusetts, then Shine is the place to check. Those guys are tops and have a great reputation with Audis and Vw's. I know three people who have had very good experiences with Shine.
Allright I was thinking of purchasing a set of RS4 DTM replica wheels as well as a Stasis / Koni Street Sport Coilover Kit from achtuning.com Does anybody have any experience with these products or the vendor?
The Stasis Konis are top notch. Many people have them and there are rarely any complaints. Can't comment on the replica wheels cuz I have never had them, but they look good.
