I never did do an update thread, but clear back around Thanksgiving I sold my blue 1998 A4 to my housemate and upgraded to a 1999.5 A4 1.8tqm that I bought from Dj Spiel. I've had a blast with her ever since and was really looking forward to affording some upgrades at the end of the summer.




Then last night (Saturday night) I got home around 1am and parked in the driveway. Went to bed at 2 am and sometime after that some Ahole drove off the road and plowed into my A4 and then took off. Completely crushed the back end of the car and hit it so hard that it shoved it forward a foot and a half into the back of my dad's truck, so there's some front end damage too. The back is so bad that there's damage to the inside of the trunk frame area where the lower part of the latch is. There's a possibility that the insurance company might total it because it. Have to wait on the insurance inspection.

 

That sucks. Id look around for his license plate. I've heard of dui hit and runs being resolved by a plate left behind a few times before.

 

wow man that sucks if totalled take what you can if u plan to return to a b5 or part it out. dam drunk drivers shows how stupid some people are surprisingly they never get hurt and manage to get away.

yeah,its unfortunate that his baby got smashed,i would just die if my baby got totaled but once he gets that check from his insurance,he could get another b5.

The thing that would kill me is the fact that,i know my car,i know what i put into it,getting another one,obliviously used is a roll of the dice,meaning you just don't know how and if someone took care of it.

I lucked out on my B5,only the 2nd owner and he or she,took great care of it.

So what's the plan if the car is totaled? Another Audi?

 

im trying to figure out what in the world hit that was tall enough to bent the top part of you trunk like that, cause thats a pronounced hot bro......something hit that part of your car directly.....among other things....i would seriously go phsyco if that was to happen to me man.....i'll be like doing CSI work and looking at every nook and cranny for some sort of evidence to get this jerk
