Not too bad. My girlfriend put it over her CEL on her Jetta. I often forget its there.
Besides, its temporary, and I'd much rather know that if my car got another error signal, I would see the light flash.

 

actually with the cluster apart you can put the tape behind the black speedo cover. i had it apart earlier today just looking at the lights and what not. does anybody know what would cause my lcd screen to have lines through it that arent on?

 

Age. Its a common problem for b5 audi's. Lots of people look for cars without the LCD simply because they dont want that hassle. Module Masters can rebuild that for you as well, but I've heard its pricey.

 

not pricy anymore its like $130

 

i think i can live without it. new adventure aftermarket deck....
