This quote came from my thread. lol

I ended up De-badging the back. I'm glad I did. I used an 18V drill w/ a 3M rubber wheel. If you do that, keep it wet and be careful not to burn through the clear coat.

Also, the Sunroof might not close when you switch it closed. If that happens just pull the switch down manually and it'll close for you.

LMAO.... Where's the other 1%?? And I've seen people spend A LOT of money on the new GTIs with the handle built into the badge on the boot, removing it and getting it smooth and everything.

Haven't been able to get the pic of the GTI, but another thing came up. Just came from a meet and a 07' A4 owner said he used (can't remember) some type of race oil because it's cheaper and the thick oil is better than Mobil 1s thiner oil, and also prevents the oil from burning to bad.. what do you guys think?

If our engines do in fact have sludge issues, thicker oil would only make that issue worse. And if the oil channels are too small, thicker oil won't be able to travel through them as efficiently as it should. The manufacturer recommends a certain viscosity for a reason. I used to run thicker oils, thinking they were protecting better, until I found out they were actually worse.

Well for instance: I debadged my rear hatch but ended up having to put a badge back on it to hide a shadow from a bad paint job done by the previous owner. The point I was trying to make is that in 9/10 cases it's going to come down to whatever you think looks best as opposed to when people do **** like put RS4 badges on an A4 and everyone argues about it and flames the crap out of them.
