If our engines do in fact have sludge issues, thicker oil would only make that issue worse. And if the oil channels are too small, thicker oil won't be able to travel through them as efficiently as it should. The manufacturer recommends a certain viscosity for a reason. I used to run thicker oils, thinking they were protecting better, until I found out they were actually worse.

Personally, I don't subscribe to the whole "I have to buy the most expensive products for my car, because they're better" mentality. I get the products that match the specs called for, offered at the cheapest price. Oil Viscosity would be one of those specs.

That's what I'm talking about. Nothing more, nothing less. Also CCA4, generally, how much do parts sell for? Idid more research and I wanted to have some sort of a base just to go off of.
