How screwed am I?

EDIT: continued from this thread.

Also read up on some other threads and saw that this may just be some bad seals. Going to talk to a mechanic on monday about getting it fixed.

as long as there isnt oil on the electrode part of the plugs, yes its just a $25 valve cover gasket.

oh ok, well its good to hear its not too expensive. Though do you guys know about how many hours of labor this thing is going to take?

Also what spark plugs do you recommend? May as well swap them out.

Valve cover gasket is an easy DIY - save yourself some cash. Also grab the kit from one of the vendors listed in the stickies and save even more!

Here's a few DIY guides if you need:

if you really have zero tools and cant DIY they are going to charge you $50-100 to install it. but even if you have never picked up a wrench before, this is a good place to start. all you have to do is unbolt you coil packs (8 bolts) and then theres another 8-12 nuts on the cover itself. swap gaskets and retighten the bolts and your done. it will take you an hour max.
