Default 1.8t 710n questionnnnnn

Hi everyone :0)

I have a 710n diverter valve I got for free from a buddy. I am 100% stock ATM and plan on stage 1'ing within the next couple months. Should I put the dv on now? Will it do anything for me at all? Will I lose boost? I have found different threads but nothing exactly the same thanks for the help in advance!

Terry

Just put it in now.

It won't hurt.

At this point it won't hurt anything, and it won't help anything unless your stock DV is bad. You won't see any increase in performance and I didn't notice and change in sound or responsiveness when I went from my OEM DV to a 710n.

Like everyone says it won't hurt, when i had replaced my stock DV with a 710N i noticed a increase in boost and i could hear my turbo better (i assumed my old DV was on its way out).

Why do people drive with 710n in backwards? I've seen some people say it offers better holding of boost pressure? But many said it will cause pre mature failure

I'm pretty sure it can be used either way. I'm running my 007 backwards with no issues.

It can be used either way. Has to do with which way the piston is facing and which way the boost pressure is pushing on it. I haven't really seen any evidence to support either direction but it's a simple valve, shouldn't really matter.
