ok so hears what happend
i believe some bad gas was put in the car and it wouldnt start i cranked it over many time while i tried different things to find the problem.. finaly i drained the gas and put fresh premium in it. the car started and ran normal the rest of the day. Then that night i went to start it and it would not turn over or do anything. it is a Man. tranny so i was able to bump start it for a few days. then sudddenly it began starting on its own without a problem and its been running fine for about 2 weeks now.. should i be worried about damaging things that dont know is happening? i figured the starter gears just jammed up and the freed themselves... any ideas?

2000 A4 1.8t Quattro Manual Trans.

 

i would put some gas cleaner or seafoam in it. better to be safe than sorry
