yes you can, and your your tubo's probably going out, or it has substained some kind cartirdge damage from improper oiling at some point and time. i only say this because mine did the same thing, when i took it in for other work they told me that who ever owned the car before me would cheapy oil changes and it cause damage. but he also said that as longs as good oil is kept up i should still get good life out of the turbo.
