Hey all i was just wondering what would be involved other than the obvious for switching my 2.8 to a 1.9TDI.
1. should i try to find a 1.9 front clip or just go stand alone ECU?
2. Will my transmission work or do i need a different one?
3. Will still able to keep my quatro or will i be down graded to FWD only?

Any other helpful hints will be accepted, and welcome.
Also I'm state side so all you luck folk across the pond who have there already i have a slight hatred for you but its only because you get all the sweet versions where we yankes get the ones that will sell(gas only no diesel). except in the case of VW and then its only the 1.9 not any other variations.
