For the OCD record keepers out there...

I bought my A4 Avant 1 year ago today, here's a break down of all the expenses for those who are interested.

Total miles:197337
Miles for the year: 20195
Gallons of gas: 930
Avg mpg: 21.7

Est fuel cost: $3022
Insurance: $380
Maintenace: $1227
Accident repairs: $1429
(flat tire, oil pan, rear ender)
Tools and software: $605
Optional Upgrades: $410
(roof rack)

Total expense: $11600
(purchase price, fuel @ $3.25 , insurance, all other costs)

 

how did you come up wth the 3.25/gal for fuel? you get it at that price always?

 

just an estimate... should probably be more like $3.60 or so since we were over $4 for awhile. I'm buying 87 octane in socal. I think I'll add a column for fuel so i don't have to guess next year.

 

I hit my 2 year anniversary yesterday at 5:58PM. I haven't added up my exact figures but a rough idea would be:

Purchase price $5000 (great deal for a 130k mile car in 2006 in pristine condition with all records)
Mods (two sets of wheels (summer and winter), tires, suspension, intake, AV system, lighting mods, materials for customizing interior, brakes, radar) $2500ish
Repairs (CV axles, combination switch, cam sensor, miscellaneous little things) $350
Insurance $1550ish
Maintenance (oil changes, etc) $200ish
Gas - not sure

Excluding gas, a total of 9600 happily-spent dollars to date, and more to follow
