if you have alot of the stuff already and its not extra labor then go for it. might as well get some cams and maybe some water/meth injection, tune it right you can get a decent amount of power. port work doesnt add much power on its own but when you pair that with other mods you can get decent gains.

i actually lost power with the K&N Short ram i had.. i put the stock airbox back on. either i needed a bigger cone filter, or something. i was getting the worst acceleration ever

on a 1.8 that sounds about right. unless you have some kind of heat shield, when you take off the stock airbox that sucks cold air from the front of the car (and that flows well enough for 400hp), and put on a cone filter that sucks air from right next to the glowing red turbo, you will loose alot of power. i wish my car came with the stock airbox, then i wouldnt have to have made that big ass shield.
