im not a 2.8 kinda guy but i wasnt aware you can change out throttle bodies without adjusting your software accordingly. and im always skeptical when sites like that claim HP gains on products like that without dyno sheets to back it up. most intake sites you find claim "adds 20hp" or some garbage when in reality it adds almost zero.
if you have alot of the stuff already and its not extra labor then go for it. might as well get some cams and maybe some water/meth injection, tune it right you can get a decent amount of power. port work doesnt add much power on its own but when you pair that with other mods you can get decent gains. |
on a 1.8 that sounds about right. unless you have some kind of heat shield, when you take off the stock airbox that sucks cold air from the front of the car (and that flows well enough for 400hp), and put on a cone filter that sucks air from right next to the glowing red turbo, you will loose alot of power. i wish my car came with the stock airbox, then i wouldnt have to have made that big ass shield.
